Symbiotic ecstasy? I just had to delete what I wrote from the rock's perspective that was trending toward an x-rated post. Holly, this alive rock, this land, and water is much a part of you. I want to stand in front of this canvas. Will this be in a public exhibition, or is it already committed elsewhere? Amazing what the--your--imagination can create with a few simple material tools and pigment can create. I love it now, but look forward to what you conjure next.

Would have loved to have seen that x-rated post, Karen! lol! How wonderful that you are picking up on that "symbiotic ecstasy" that I feel while painting! Feeling an incredible connection to the earth lately, it grows stronger and more urgent with each new painting! Difficult to articulate it as the connection seems to be more of a body memory than an intellectual one.
When a painting sweeps me away, as this one did, it really does feel as though I am making love to the earth! Paintings that come through in this manner leave me feeling charged with energy for hours after leaving the studio! I have no idea where this painting will end up but I would love for you to be able to see it in person one day! I appreciate your keen vision and depth of understanding regarding the ptg process. I actually don't claim to understand any of it but have learned to follow a certain energy that unleashes a fierce wildness from within that bursts forth unto the canvas in
a spontaneous dance of paint!
